Parent Grade-Level meetings are co-sponsored with the Guidance Department to provide information to parents about ORHS. Parents meet with other parents of same-age students to discuss topics of interest and concern. Meetings are held on Tuesdays from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the ORHS Library Conference Room.

Evening meetings are also held throughout the school year. The grade level representative facilitates the discussion and a guidance counselor or appropriate staff member presents information and answers questions. The last 15 minutes will be set aside for parent sharing and support. Topics are flexible, but have covered such areas as transition from middle school to high school, Governor's school, standardized testing, graduation requirements, the college application process, registration procedures, and student stress. Suggestions for discussion topics or agenda items are welcomed.

Meeting reminders or schedule changes will be sent if you provide an e-mail or mail address at the first meeting or contact the appropriate coordinator directly.
